Fused Glass Red Gazania Flower Bowl
This fused glass flower bowl is made from a deep red transparent glass. The centre of the flower features dozens of tiny balls of glass. Each petal is hand cut so no two bowls are the same.
This piece was fired in the kiln twice. The first fusing, at a lower temperature than normal, meant that the petals and glass balls in the centre retain lovely definition whilst still being gently rounded. The second firing used heat and gravity so that the glass flower slumped into a ceramic mold.
The bowl measures approximately 150mm in diameter and is 50mm deep. Please check my other listings for a different shape of this bowl.
