Also known as Granny Bonnet and Columbine, these beautiful cottage flowers with shy nodding blooms are great food for butterflies and bumblebees.

Aquilegia have a range of gorgeous colours and will grow to a height of around 40cm. They self-seed and cross readily. They prefer partial shade and well drained soil, and don’t mind fairly poor, dry ground - so great for those “problem” bits of the garden!

Sow direct in spring. The seeds need light to germinate, so just press them onto the soil surface and barely cover. Aquilegia is a perennial and blooms in its second year.

Contents: 1/4 teaspoon of seed
