The latest craze of spinners has seen them become toys. Now the fad is over, lets get back to what fidgets are actually for - Primarily a stim toy for those with the likes of Asperger's, Autism, Adhd and the like, they have also proven helpful for people who just feel better when they fidget or need to occupy busy hands - nail biters, phone doodlers, thumb suckers, hair pullers and general antsy pants knee jiggler pen clicker types. You know who you are ;-)

It measures approximately 100mm at widest point, and 60mm from the centre to outside edge* It is the larger spinner of the two. The picture is for a size comparison with our standard size.

These feel great, with the warmth and grounding properties that wood naturally has. As each spinner is made by hand, not machines, there are often some slight variances in the balance of each one. It makes for a more interesting hand feel, and can highlight the effects of centrifugal force.

This spinner is made from reclaimed kwila decking, from an EQ related rebuild, Redcliffs, Christchurch.

*This size is for larger adult hands.To measure hand fit, press middle finger and thumb together will nails pointing towards each other. and measure the distance between the centre of the fingers and the palm. If it is more than 60mm, it will spin. If not, please check our other listings for spinners for smaller hands.

(As these spinners do not have a button in the middle like the commercial versions, they can not be directly compared for size. Please check to ensure fit)


Pick ups are only available from Redcliffs, Mon and Thurs 4-8, time by arrangement, and sometimes from Lyttleton Markets, Saturday mornings. 9am-1pm
