The Saddleback or Tieke is a previously rare and endangered NZ bird. It is glossy black with a chestnut saddle. Its taxonomic family is also known as that of the NZ "wattlebirds" and includes the Kokako as well as the extinct Huia. All members of this family have coloured fleshy appendages on either side of the beak known as "wattles". In the case of Saddleback, they are a vivid orange/red in colour.

Size of print = 208x259mm inserted into a quality white-core bevel-cut mat with a 203x254mm window and fits into a standard 11x14” (279x356mm) frame. Comes fixed onto a named and signed backing board ready to insert into a frame of your choice.
