Pink Mussel and Fresh Water Pearl Necklace

For this necklace I have created a large twirly frame in sterling silver on which I have then suspended 5 pieces of NZ pink mussel shell. The frame consists of three pieces of sterling silver wire wrapped together and then spiraled at each end. This frame then links into the chain of the necklace which is made of links of natural coloured fresh water pearls wrapped on sterling silver. These links all have wrapped loops and so are very secure. The necklace is then fastened with a hand forged toggle clasp.

The pieces of pink mussel shell have all been drilled and are then fastened onto the sterling frame with jump rings, the focal piece being the central pendant of the necklace, with smaller pieces to each side. The frame helps each piece to hang naturally.

The pink mussel is a natural shell product from NZ. The fresh water pearls add some natural lustre to the necklace and compliment the shells beautifully.

This is a gorgeous, very unique necklace which is sure to delight.
