Festival: a sparkling three-wrap bracelet in blues, golds, yellows, and purples – one of a kind

This vibrant wrap-around bracelet consists of a single length of gold-coloured wire, threaded with a host of brightly coloured, glittering glass and shiny, gold-plated metal beads.

The beads include gold-plated filigree beads; glass beads in peacock greens and blues; aqua-coloured glass beads with streaks of gold and silver; royal blue glass beads with streaks of magenta and yellow; gold-plated 'stardust' textured beads; antiqued-gold coloured metal beads shaped like tiny lanterns; flat, yellow, flower-shaped glass beads; small, smooth, gold plated beads; oval cloisonné beads with flowers and crosses on them; vintage, faceted, gold-coloured glass beads; and faceted, firepolished, Czech glass beads in deep cobalt with a rainbow-like 'aurora borealis' sheen.

The bracelet wraps three times around the wrist, and fastens with a gold-plated lobster-claw charm, which clips into a gold-plated extension chain. The chain is finished with a metallic yellow bell, which adds a festive little jingle to the bracelet. Near the clasp dangles a teardrop-shaped cloisonné bead in deep blue, with little pink blossoms on it.

The wire used in this bracelet is non-tarnish artistic wire, and most of the metal parts are gold plated.
Czech glass is famous worldwide for its high quality. Firepolishing is a technique whereby the beads are 'polished' by subjecting them to a very hot flame, creating a bright, shiny surface. Firepolished glass flashes and sparkles almost like crystal.
Cloisonné is an ancient art whereby metal hollows or cavities, outlined by ridges or strands (sometimes twisted like ropes) of metal, are filled with coloured glass enamel. The result is shimmering colours on a metallic (often gold or silver) background.

The 'Festival' bracelet is designed to wrap three times, giving the appearance of three strands of beads around the wrist. The strands tend to bunch near the clasp and to separate on the back of the wrist, as seen in the final photographs.
The bracelet has an inside diameter of approximately 53mm, at its largest, and will comfortably fit a 16cm wrist. It can be adjusted smaller using the extension chain. If your wrist is wider than 16cm and you would like a longer extension chain, just leave a message in the 'notes for silverlight' field that will appear when you check out of Felt. The chain can be made longer at no charge.
