This was an unloved book rescued from the recycle bin and made into beautiful art.
Folded book art is as much about the process as it is about the form. These books were conceived, born, loved, studied, stored, discarded, found anew, folded and reborn.
This unique book sculpture was made by folding the pages of a book. No pages have been cut or glued. Many hours of patience and precise folding of every page - about 500 of them in this case:)
This sculpture is dynamic in that it appears differently when viewed from different angles and points of light.
Inspired by the artist Isaac Salazar, and the ancient art of origami.
Shipped with its covers closed and carefully padded. When you receive it, just release it from its cocoon and let it relax. It will open back up to its original form.
