Sock monkeys were first created in North America in the 1930s. During the great depression, toys were made out of whatever materials were available, including old socks. With this kit you can make your own sock monkey!

This sock monkey kit contains:
* Illustrated sock monkey pattern
* One pair new socks
* Felt pieces for eyes
* Plastic toy eyes
* Thread
* Needle
* Straight pins

You will also need:
* Marker pen
* Scissors
* Stuffing (see note below)
* Sewing machine is optional
