'Inviting Autumn' Original Watercolour Sketch

This little watercolour and gouache sketch is a gentle wish for the cooler temperatures and vibrant colours of Autumn. I have used light layered washes of watercolour, and added details and texture with both watercolour and gouache, followed by fine lines using a black ink pen. The result is a stylised forest scene that is slightly abstract.

Paper measures 15cm x 21cm and is cold-press Bockingford watercolour paper.

This original sketch comes unframed and will be carefully packaged to preserve it during transport. Please note that colours can look different on screen compared to 'real life'. I have done my best to represent the colours accurately, but some differences are inevitable.

Watercolour is a delicate medium which is perfect for portraying the natural word, but it does need to be treated gently. It cannot be varnished so the paint is still able to be activated on the surface. Please ensure it is kept dry until it is framed.
