Large Stained Glass Kererū - Wood Pigeon
Inspired by the beautiful New Zealand Kererū, this creation is made from genuine stained glass. The green tones are deep and rich with an opaque swirl throughout to give further depth and the impression of real feathers.
Constructed using the Tiffany method. Each piece has been hand cut, smoothed and copper-foiled then soldered together using 60/40 lead/tin solder. The hanging wire is Tiger Tail. The solder has been stained with a patina to give an aged, blackened look.
Measures 15cm in width, 24.5cm in length and 34cm in full length, including the Tiger Tail.
Super-packed in a polystyrene and bubble-wrap sandwich, this can be delivered anywhere within NZ as well as anywhere on the planet. Any question just ask!
