Medium Kina shell post earrings - fused glass

This listing is for kina shells post earrings that are 9mm in diameter. They are made out of glass, so that our real shells can stay where they belong - on the beach. A little piece of fun and just a wee bit quirky, and they look just like a miniature version of the real thing.

I have created these earrings with just the tiniest hint of green sparkle, thanks to a sprinkling of mica fused on the outside surface of the glass.

These earrings are individually cast from powdered glass using a technique called pate-de-verre meaning "paste of glass".
This process creates three-dimensional items in glass without the use of high temperature molds. The glass layers are then fused together at around 700C, creating kiln formed fused glass.

Light and easy to wear, each earring is individually made, so your earrings are truly one of a kind. Due to it's handmade nature, your jewellery may have small imperfections and irregularities. This is perfectly normal and should in no way affect the function or life of your item.
