Aotearoa Paint Set
This box features a bespoke limited edition watercolour paint collection made with local earth pigments from Aotearoa.
This was a special collaboration with British paint makers Wallace Seymour and the Clae Studio to produce artist grade water colour paints that spoke about location, to link the artist and the materials closer together.
There were only 30 full sets created, with 10 remaining in England and 20 coming home.
10 full sets make up this edition.
This collection has 9 x 5ml Wallace Seymour handmade paints featuring materials collected and processed by Clae, and a pebble pan.
We are all great story tellers, each material tells a subtle story of the land and people from where they come from, and beyond this is the slow geological time that tells an older story with unique geological traits.

The full paint collection includes Pounamu dust gifted to the project by renown Ngāi Tahu Master carver Fayne Robinson with materials collected for an art collaboration with The Hakatere Public Art Gallery
