Cookie's fleece - medium grey romney carded roving
Cookie is the cutest lamb we've ever bred. She grew into a beautiful grey/black/white spotted ewe and has given us several lovely lambs. She's no longer with us so this is the only time her fleece will be available.
Cookie's wool is a mix of black and white fibres and the carding has homogenised it to a light medium grey.The staple for this fleece was 12cm. It's quite strong and suitable for hardwearing outerwear, socks, hats, blankets, and the like. It would also be suitable for needle felting. This fleece will wet felt but it's a lot of work to get it to felt and it wouldn't be our first choice of wool for this purpose.
