Mugwort & Grevilia Botanically Printed Cotton Top Size M
This botanically printed top has been created with the leaves of Mugwort & Grevilia and has been mordanted with iron.
The fabric is a dusky pink light crinkle cotton. Best fit a Medium - size 12 -14. Fabric of this nature is best washed in PH neutral detergent, or gently handwashed and line dried in the shade.
The process - I choose leaves & flowers from our whenua- often Marigold & Coreopsis (to create yellows) Eucalyptus, Feijoa! Grevilia & Blackberry. An iron mordant is often used, created from rusted pieces of an old truck left and forgotten in a bush area on our property. Each Item created changes with the seasons and is reflective of local landscapes.
