Watercolour Pet / Animal Portrait Commission A4
Capture your pet in watercolour for a precious keepsake. All pet requests are welcome whether hooved, clawed or feathered (just no humans sorry!).
Portraits are done in a realistic watercolour style with a plain white background as shown in the first two photos. Painted on high quality 300gm A4 watercolour paper with artist grade watercolour paints. I like to have the main focus on the head in my portraits but please let me know if you have a different idea and we can discuss possible options.
The final painting comes unframed so that you can choose a frame to suit your style.
I just need a quality reference photo to get started. Once I have received a photo that I can work with I will then send a mock-up of the composition to check that you are happy before moving on to the final painting.
Quality reference photos:
-Are well lit by one light source, preferably natural or outside lighting.
-Have a nice, detailed image with no blur or areas of large dark shadow.
-Taken on the same level as your pet (we may be able to work around this as long as the image is clear, and the lighting is good).
To send me your images, please use WeTransfer.com. On the WeTransfer site simply enter your own email address as both the sender and recipient, then copy the link you receive by email and message it to me via the Felt contact system. The link generated by WeTransfer is one allowed by Felt.
If you are unsure if you have a suitable photo, please contact me before purchase and I will try to help. I am happy to look through a selection of photos if you are unsure and pick out ones that could work. Ultimately it is most important to have good lighting and an image with no blur so I can see the details.
