One Penny Slice Earrings

Having fun with the slice earrings again.
This pair have been handcrafted from NZ One Penny Coins.
Once sliced the pieces are matched back up, then soldered together with hard silver solder for strength, and yes the joins are strong.
Some of the patina has been left for that aged look.
Total length including sterling silver hooks 7cm.

Like many pieces I create out of vintage items, they may carry signs of a previous well loved life, which makes each piece perfectly imperfect.
These gorgeous earrings will come in a gift box, that I have crafted from 80% upcycled materials.
