Pearls and Silver Necklace
A very special unique necklace made from dark grey/ peacock fresh water pearls, five pure silver medallions depicting NZ creatures of sea and land, and a Sterling silver clasp.
Each silver pieces is approx. 17mm in diameter, these are individually made, shaped by the seller, from precious metal clay, features a fine tube on the back for the soft wire (tiger tail) with a sterling silver bead on each side for even hanging.
The little starfish on the very right and the dots of the Kina are well known patterns, in the centre a kauri snail shows its lovely spiral, the uneven pattern is one of a kind of starfish on the fourth silver medallion and the fifth, on the very left, is a “sand dollar”, found in the sand when the tide is out.
The overall length of the necklace is 47cm.
