Hand forged Kiridashi craft knife

This is my take on the popular Japanese style craft knife, or Kiridashi, unique with its chisel grind.

• 1075 high carbon steel
• Hand-forged for a “brut de forge” textured finish
• Hand ground cutting edge on a water cooled stone
• Hand-made vegetable-tanned leather sheath
• Leather carrying strop

These are great little sharp knives to keep in your pocket, you will be surprised how often they come in handy.

Length ~125mm long
Width ~20mm
Cutting edge ~40mm long

This has been all made here by me in my West Coast workshop, from cutting the steel, forging, grinding, heat treating, finishing and sharpening, as well as cutting, punching, dying and sewing the sheath.
