Paua, a stunning shellfish native to New Zealand waters, boasts an enchanting spectrum of blues and greens. Resilient and vibrant, its iridescence mirrors the beauty of the ocean it calls home.

This two-dimensional needle-felted artwork is crafted using alpaca fibre, dyed with lichens and acid dyes.

The alpaca fibre comes from Spider Valley’s two alpacas, Carlos & George. The lichen used for dying is collected in Spider Valley from the beautiful trees.

Each of my creations are unique, carefully handcrafted for a one-of-a-kind experience.
