In Japanese culture this particular phase of the crescent moon, Jusanyazuki, is called the halfway moon. The negative space is the full moon, Tsukuyomi and the Japanese character in brass is the symbol for good fortune..
170mm dia
Carved from Puriri wood with pyrography accents and a brass good fortune symbol that I engraved. The base is Totara with fine tip sharpie mandala pattern on all sides except the bottom.
