Zip Pouch from Upcycled Linens
These functional zip pouches are made out of upcycled linens. I love to give new life to unwanted and unloved textiles - be they doilies, damask tablecloths, or even the occasional cotton or linen shirt. After a thorough washing, I hand-dye the fabric with professional quality procion fibre reactive dyes.
I then sew each pouch individually, choosing two different fabrics for the outside (shown in the photographs) and a coordinated lining. Each pouch is completely unique.
These are a super-useful size. I have one as a small pencil case, one as a makeup pouch, one in my handbag for all those small things that get lost in the corners - so many uses - and they make great gifts!
Measurements: approx 17 cm high and 24 cm long.
For quality purposes, I use brand new zippers.
Fully lined.
Hand wash or machine wash on gentle cold cycle. Do not bleach. Line dry or use cool cycle in dryer. Press gently with warm iron if needed.
