Kowhai Coin Earrings

These totally Kiwi earrings have been handcrafted from 1976 2 cent coins.

These earrings are made to order, please allow 1 week from purchase to shipping.

I have painstaking sawn around each Kowhai, then smoothed and polished the cut edges.

A sterling silver ring has been attached and then each Kowhai hang from my handcrafted sterling silver hooks. Total length including sterling hooks 3.2cm

To maintain the bright bronze shine, polish with a soft cloth and silver polish. Or leave to naturally oxidize.

Leaving them on while swimming, showering, exposure to perfume, aerosol etc will cause the Kowhai to oxidize faster.

Like many pieces I create out of vintage items, they carry signs of a previous well loved life, which makes each piece perfectly imperfect.

These gorgeous earrings will come in a gift box, that I have crafted from 80% upcycled materials.
