Crepe de Chine - Silk Scarf
The scarf is made from medium weight crepe de chine 100% silk.
Single layer., with hand-sewn rolled hemmed edges.
This silk drapes beautifully, and the vibrant blues and greens can suit most skin tones.
Size 34 x 150 cm. A delightful splash of colour to brighten up any outfit.
The silk is first dyed turquoise, this gives depth to the dyeing.
Then the fabric is twisted, using a shibori technique, and then hand-painted.
Once dried, the scarf is steam-fixed to create strong, vibrant and permanent colours.
Care: Hand-washing using wool-wash in lukewarm water,
rinse in a small amount of fabric softener or vinegar, (optional).
Spin in washing machine or or air dry. Iron using a silk/wool setting.
