Miniature NZ two cent kowhai coin earrings - fused glass

These earrings are a copper replica of a genuine NZ two cent bronze coin minted in1971 and taken out of circulation April 1990. The original coin is 20mm round with two kowhai flowers on it. The coins I have cast are smaller and 15mm in size. These copper coin earrings have been hand cast from glass and then fired to around 700C in my kiln. After firing the coins are then placed in a round copper bezel setting.

Each coin is individually made, so your earrings willl be truly one of a kind. Due to it's handmade nature, your jewellery may have small imperfections and irregularities. This is perfectly normal and should in no way affect the function or life of your item.
