Kowhai Coin Earrings

Spring is here, and here are my first blooms.

Each time I create a 2 cent locket I'm left with a wee Kowhai off-cut, and I've finally got around to using them, this is upcycling to the max.

I have hand sawn around each Kowhai, and soldered on a sterling ring so they can hang from these simple sterling hoops.

Each hoop has been hammered to add strength, this helps maintain the shape.

Width of the hoop is 1.8cm, total length including the Kowhai is 3cm. The Kowhai can be taken off if you wish to just wear the hoops, nice and light to wear.

The Kowhai have been polished with Renaissance wax, this helps prevent tarnishing, I have wee pots of the wax for $2 on request.

**Currently posting twice a week**

Do not wear while swimming, soaking or showering, or spray with perfume etc.

This sweet pendant will come in a gift box, that I have crafted from 80% upcycled materials.
