Protect candle jar

Light the wick and set the stone afire.

Folklore tells of stones with holes through them that hold the power of protection. The story tells us that evil cannot be held in moving water, and because the holes are created through the constant movement of water, the stone takes on the protection of the water and evil cannot come near the stone or its user.

Over time I have respectfully foraged these stones from the beach just down the road from my home in Kaikōura. I incorporate them into my practice daily and thought it was time to share some with others.

The candles themselves have two witches stones in them; one within the wax and one atop. Surrounding the stone are fluorite crystals, chosen to promote peace and balance.

I created this candle not so much with a traditional sense of protection in mind, but more of a "protect this mindset/nurture my peace/cast out unhelpful thoughts" kind of vibe. (although they can be used in such a way if you choose)

I incorporate lighting a wish or protect candle into my morning ritual as a visual reminder, enhancing any intentions I set for myself for the day ahead.

Each candle comes with a small spell I wrote for you to say as you light your candle, if you so choose.

My favourite fragrance is used in these candles, a delish classic with warming and sweet notes, black raspberry and vanilla.

I use the best quality soy wax in these 150g candles and the burn time is approximately 25 - 30 hours.

Because each witches stone is naturally made by the turning of time, each candle is unique and may not be as pictured.

I suggest a longer first burn time to allow for the stones to make way into the wax pool and still have the candle melt all the way to the edges. You can also remove the larger stone and/or the crystals if you choose, however they do look lovely sitting in the bottom of a melted candle.
