Pounamu necklace carved from Kokopu Pounamu.
This stone is ethically sourced from Ngāti Waewae Māori, ensuring it’s mana is fully upheld from the sourcing of stone to final carving process.

This carving draws inspiration from the concept of Mauri. For Māori, mauri speaks of the life force and energy which exists in all beings and entities. As such, this carving symbolises the mauri that comes from Papatūānuku and Rakinui, and how this transcends through all forms of life. Comes with a fully adjustable cord for personalised fitting.

Size: 37mm wide and 50mm long
Material: Pounamu and waxed polyester natural cord.

Carved by Adrian Woodhouse (Kāi Tahu)

Note: I often get asked can I purchase a carving for themselves. The simple answer is yes, but it always has more meaning when received as a gift.
