This is a beautifully crafted print of one of The Fibre Series – These original works are all slow stitched (everything done by hand), they use vintage and scraps of recycled fabrics. The stitches are a form of mark making as well as function to hold the pieces in place. As a young child I was fascinated with fibre and fabrics, it is a medium that I still can’t resist. Slow stitching has become an important part of my art practice, the free use of the thread and needle, beautiful fabrics and scraps ends up being an abstraction of the works I so love to paint
