The Product

Miss Lily’s Swellegant Organic Moisturising Cream is a treat for those who love a velvety feel and exotic floral scent in their moisturiser. We selected the fast- and deep-absorbing camellia oil for this cream because of its reputation as a highly restorative, rejuvenating, moisture-retaining and hypo-allergenic carrier oil. Shea butter is added as a superior active moisturiser to help protect and soothe your skin. Essential oils of ylang ylang III and lavender, tempered with German chamomile, give this cream its enticing exotic fragrance.

The essential oil of ylang ylang, the "flower of flowers”, is used in skin care to balance the skin and is said to help repair blemishes, such as redness from broken capillaries, and help fight acne. Its aroma is believed to inspire a positive mood, relieving anxiety and depression, and to aid relaxation. Lavender essential oil is appreciated for its reputed antiseptic properties and is said to soothe dry skin, including eczema- and psoriasis-prone skin. While lavender is also valued as a staple among connoisseurs of essential oils for its reputation as a healing agent, German chamomile in particular is one of the most prized oils for its supposed cleansing and curative qualities. Overall, the combination of these three oils makes for a preparation that aims to be soothing, rejuvenating and anti-aging.

Although both are specially formulated for dry and sensitive skin, they do provide benefits for all skin types.
All the oils in this product are certified-organic. The essential oils are therapeutic-grade. We use unrefined, fair-trade, certified-organic shea butter.

We use certified-organic, vegetable-based and palm-oil free glycerin. As this is a water-oil-based cream, we use Emulsifier O (cetearyl olivate & sorbitan olivate), which is derived from olives, and we use Geogard 221 (benzyl alcohol & dehydroacetic acid) as a preservative (a must-do in any cosmetics containing water), which is approved for use in organic products. Both are Ecocert approved.

The Packaging

All brand-specific design work is done by me (Suse a.k.a. Lily). All product packaging is chosen for minimal environmental impact. Brand-specific packaging (such as labels and tags) are made by hand or using home office equipment. Packaging for shipping is plastic-free (not even a plastic sticky tape in sight!).
