Porotiti (((0))) Humming Disc

Porotiti are called Kororohu when spinning and Korerohua when blown upon. The porotiti have many functions traditionally such projecting prayers, setting the rhythms for song creations, vibrational healing, its playing with the hands and fingers good for easing arthritis, great for dexterity and kinetic learning for both old and young, its ultra sounds are used for clearing mucus blockages from sinuses also. Like the dance of our spiral galaxy so does the porotiti spin.

Playing your porotiti, first hold on to the two toggles at either end or loop and toggle. Begin by winding cords backward towards yourself, shortening the distance between your hands as the cord winds up upon its self. Now with one fluid movement pull your hands out toward your sides the porotiti will create its own momentum winding in and out on its cord. Always be aware of its position in relation to your body, others and objects to avoid collisions. You can blow upon the porotiti to change the hum and rhythms again be aware of your nose, lips proximity to its spinning vanes. These porotiti can also be worn as a pendant when not playing.
