Handknitted Cushion Cover - A nod to Mondrian
Size 50 x 50 cm
Add flare and fashion to your sofa, favourite chair or bed.
This handmade cushion cover is unique and consists of one side being hand knitted and the other made from fabric. This is a combination of material coming from my wool collection and my stash of fabric.
In this cushion cover I pay homage to Piet Mondrian from his 'Composition with Red, Black, Blue, Yellow and Grey (1920)'. This colour combination showcases the primary colours of red, yellow and blue - colours that would be at home in any room of your house or bach. The reverse side is made of linen. It has an envelope finish - so easy to put the cushion inside. Sewing the two together is also done by hand.
The inner cushion is feather filled. Made by Fairydown who ethically source their feathers. The added bonus is that it gives the cushion a lovely decadent feel and it is easily plumped for added comfort.
My goods are made from my wool and fabric stash, Op Shop finds and donations from kind friends. Helping to be sustainable by reusing and upcycling.
Machine washable on wool setting or by hand. Take the cushion out first.
