A serpentine stone heart sits on a hammered wire spiral, and is topped by a small, antiqued-brass coloured bead, and a deep blue imitation pearl. The wire spirals around the little brass bead and the faux pearl.

Serpentine (sometimes called 'false jade' or 'Teton jade') is a stone with a wide variety of uses. This bead comes from Russia, and is mottled pale green in colour, with fine streaks of dark green. It is heart shaped and has grooves running its length.
The wire spiral I hand-shaped and hammered on an old panelbeating block that used to belong to my late grandfather. It has a slight texture from the rough surface of the block.
The chain is antiqued-brass in colour, with round links, and the necklace fastens with a matching lobster-claw clasp. The necklace is finished with a little antiqued-brass coloured leaf charm.

'Anya' is the diminutive Russian version of the name 'Anna'. This necklace is a one-off design, never to be repeated.

The necklace measures 44.5cm, including the lobster-claw clasp and the ring, while the pendant measures 54mm lengthwise, including the wire baile (the little hanging loop) on top of the faux pearl, and the Russian serpentine heart is 22mm across at the widest point.
