Glass Flowers

Three dark red glass flowers (of indeterminate variety!) set on black painted wood, apprpx 28cm high.
This piece is made using the tiffany/foil method, where glass is cut to shape, smoothed and wrapped in copper foil. Then soldered together, it is treated with a patina to blacken the solder and polished to give it a shine and help prevent oxidisation. Wood has been painted with polyurethane.
Although I live in the Waikato, I frequently travel to New Plymouth - happy to deliver or arrange for Taranaki pickup.
