The Wrap

A pendant light shade hand made in the Bay of Plenty. Crafted from sustainable, New Zealand grown Pine, turned copper pins and bamboo fastening clips. The lampholder is lasercut from bamboo, and the frame is made from reclaimed copper wire.


Each piece is hand made by me, at my workshop. The copper wire is reclaimed from the old internet cables, straightened and hand polished in my workshop. We have chosen our materials carefully with sustainability and recycling in mind.

The Wrap is an intricate wrapped design, reminiscent of forms found in nature. When lit, the wood glows from within producing a lovely warm light and showcasing the natural woodgrain.

This shade is also available in a larger size - 600mm diameter for $800. Please contact me if you are interested and I can create a listing for you.

Important note! I make shades in batches, 4 times per year during the school holidays (because I am a full-time school teacher as well as Minnow-maker!). Please place your order before the school holidays, for delivery during the second week of the holidays. If you are unsure of the next delivery date, please contact me.
