'Summer into Autumn' .. monotype limited edition print
This is a mixed media original artwork using gelli prints, with added acrylic highlights, on watercolour paper.
Gel printing is a monoprinting technique with a gel printing plate.
A gel plate, is a soft and sticky plate made out of a polymer material.
Monoprinting is a printing technique with which you can only create one print. This is the opposite of for example a rubber stamp, with which you can reproduce an image over and over again.
With a monoprint you can never reproduce the exact same image twice.
The gelli prints I use are created by me using acrylic paints, hand cut stencils, and a variety of textured sources including leaves, flowers, dies and metal patterns.
The gelli print process creates totally original works, monotypes, so you are purchasing a unique piece of Kiwi art.
The limited edition digital prints (5 only) are commercially printed on high quality paper, using a digital scanner and printer.
Each print is numbered and signed by the artist and has been prepared for framing with a professional quality ‘mat’ and backing. Each limited edition print is unframed.
