The inspiration for this carving was to embed the story of life and continued growth into its design. Incorporating eternity and koru shapes, this piece symbolizes the journey of life from Te Kore (the place of emptiness and all potential) to Te Ao Mārama (the world of the living). This work is suitable for someone who always sees life as a continuum of personal growth.
The carving is made by many hours of hand sanding which creates its highly refined finish. The carving comes fitted with an adjustable flax coloured cord to allow for a personalised fitting. The carving also comes in its own flax kete for safekeeping. A fantastic gift for someone who appreciates unique and quality work.
