Copper sundials, dichroic glass necklace - round satin silver plated setting

This stunning glass pendant has been made from a copper coloured dichroic in a sundial pattern. The pendant has been handcrafted from glass and fired to over 760C in my kiln and then set into a round offset satin silver plated setting. The process fuses the glass layers together, creating kiln formed glass. The beautiful metallic sheen on the surface of this pendant is dichroic glass. The term ‘Dichroic‘ is derived from the Greek language and literally means ‘two colours’. Simply put, this means if you hold a piece of dichroic coated glass and look straight through it. you will see different colours than you will see if you look at the dichroic glass at an angle.

Each pendant is individually made, so your necklace will be truly one of a kind. Due to it's handmade nature, your necklace pattern may vary slightly from the images posted on my shop. The glass may also have small imperfections and irregularities. This is perfectly normal and should in no way affect the function or life of your item.
