Tales of the Taylor (Hardcover)

Listing image #816181
Tales of the Taylor is a companion to the previous book Wind on the Withers, featuring the natural geographic features of Blenheim.
Tales of the Taylor is a small (A5) coffee table book of poetry and photography for the Instagram generation.
Following the course of the Taylor River from its source, the book tells the story of the river in a series of 36 short poems with accompanying photographs.
The poems draw on everything from local history to Shakespeare to pop culture in a fun and often irreverent manner but with an underlying message that our environment is precious and worth protecting.

Both the poetry and the photography are by the author Christopher Cookson, so they're carefully chosen to match and tell the story of the river. The author is a local who has spent most of his life in Blenheim, so has explored the river from end to end.

The book is designed to be light enough to post internationally at letter rate, so is ideal as an affordable gift for overseas friends and family.

Whether you've visited Marlborough or not, this is a great gift.
