An original abstract textile landscape inspired by the stunning Canterbury scenery. Created using second hand fabric which has been upcycled using natural eco-print and dye techniques with local plants foraged from Christchurch's residential red zone.
The folds and facets of the printed fabrics are suggestions of scenery; combined with pools of natural inks, contours of stitch and suggestive whimsical threads, abstract coastal landscapes of Christchurch city are formed.
A one-of-a-kind piece, both created and influenced by our surroundings.
