NZ Greenstone or Pounamu Roimata pendant with Copper binding

A lovely hand carved piece of New Zealand Greenstone or Pounamu in a Roimata or teardrop design. I have made a binding from pure copper that swirls into a koru design. A secure fitting with a nice earthy look.
The stone is a lovely warm Kawakawa green with cloud inclusions throughout and a nice translucency against the light. This stone is from the West coast of the South Island.
A lovely little NZ Taonga.

This piece measures 4.7cm long and 6mm thick. I have hung it on a hand plaited black adjustable cord 38-65cm long.
