Nina the Babushka

This lovely russian doll stands approximate 23cm high and is created from the softest wool felt and cotton and stuffed with wool fibre. This is my own pattern - a design inspired by my daughter's beloved wooden nesting 'dowwies'. My grandmother (92years old) was so impressed she ordered one, then a cousin, then my best friend's daughter....... and here we are!

These dolls are a safe choose for all ages (Birth +) as she does not contain any small parts. Every girl I have gifted one of these immediately snuggles her - what can I say? Her ergonomics invite cuddles!

I used designer quilters cottons for the headscarf and tummy, but no two dolls are every the same. The faces and hair are embroidered and the rouge applied by hand with love and care, so that each doll has her own spirit and personality.

This would be a stunning and original babyshower item, sure to become a heirloom doll. She would look equally fantastic as a decor item, perched on your bedside table, bed, bookshelf or sofa. She can be spot cleaned with a mild detergent - I recomment Sunlight soap or Lux wool flakes.
