This beautiful rosary is handmade here in New Zealand with 6mm round greenstone (nephrite jade) beads for the decades and 8mm rounds for the Our Father beads. Each bead is individually linked together for years of prayer.
The center medal is a pewter communion cup/chalice as is the traditional style rosary.
As well as being popular as a New Zealand rosary, this style of rosary is suitable as a gift for a baptism or first communion and you may like it with either the white crucifix (for girls) or the black one (for boys) - you can see these options in the last photo. ** To have white crucifix **
The colour in the greenstone is a dark, opaque deep forest green. The alternative crucifixes are pewter with either white of black enamelling.
Length: 56cm looped
Crucifix: 4cm
Center: 1.5cm
If wearing as a necklace, it can be slipped easily over the head so there is no clasp. It measures approximately 39cm from mid-back to the center medal and the front chain part is another 16cm long. The crucifix would hang just above the waist.
This rosary is suitable for men or women for regular use, or as a thoughtful gift for someone special.
