Introducing the new GIRLZ COLLECTION
What better way to introduce the next generation to the joys of making!

The Maia KimiKit was the first girl prototype. She was initially created as a gift for a granddaughter who loves everything blue. The dungarees are re-purposed from discarded jeans, the top is created from broderie anglaise trim and the base is cut from a remnant of luxurious midnight taffeta. She has movable arms and felt hands embedded with a magnetic closure. Owing to the finite length of cloths this Maia style edition is limited to 45 KimiKits. This cloth limitation, combined with our zero-waste approach, imparts each kit with its own unique character. Therefore, whilst all kits conform to the prototype style, they are less likely to be identical in appearance. Each handmade Maia design comes with an exclusive numbered certificate.

This handcrafted sewing kit is an authentic zero-waste product and is ethically constructed from reclaimed and disused textiles and handcrafted in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Each kit is stocked with 62 necessary sewing items, it’s compact and lightweight, weighing less than 100 grams, making them the ultimate travel kit.

This handcrafted sewing kit was successfully launched from our first Kickstarter campaign. It is designed to conserve resources, maximize longevity and create a new loop in the lifecycle of materials. They have been created for people who care about the environment and want to buy considered products with low carbon footprints, using sustainable fabrication. But more importantly these kits are designed to reconnect people to textiles and clothing, re-kindling and fostering an enjoyment for textile products. They are cleverly constructed from RECLAIMED and disused textile and expertly minimize the further creation of waste. Each technique is carefully selected to maximize the crafting experience for the individual maker. Better still it’s an extremely REUSABLE textile product that promotes REPAIR.

Support a wasteless future for textiles and join us in saving the planet one item at a time.
