The whorl is made from Mahogany, recycled from old spinning wheel parts. Decorated in pyrography and metallic paints; a small feather on the upper surface, and a larger feather under the whorl.
The shaft is made of Silver Beech, recycled from an old spinning wheel. The spindle is finished with a friction polish and has a stainless steel ball tip for fast spinning.
