Plaited fabric necklace - green and orange

This necklace is lovely and light to wear, good for the environment (recycled fabric remnants! and super cute. It is a very affordable way to add a bit of 'something different' to everyday outfits.

But the very best bit? It's baby-proof!
It's perfect for non-mums too, but those of you with littlies will know how hard it is to find jewellery that doesn't fall apart when wee hands are grabbin'. These are sewn together and then have a cover sewn over the join for extra sturdiness. They don't have sharp/small/painted pieces and so are safe for exploring mouths.

All of the fabric is folded and pressed to avoid fraying edges, and is prewashed in cold water to avoid any colour run if you should need to wash it (gently, by hand!). The seam is and stitched, carefully.
This necklace features a satin blend, a cotton blend and some regular cotton, in shades of green, orange and cream. The plaits are 1 1/2cm wide and the longest length of braid is approx 74 cms round.
