Tatted Lace Earrings - Ruru Design

These earrings are made of tatted lace, which is lovingly handmade using 100% cotton and tatting shuttles. Tatted lace is an ancient form of knotted lace, traditionally used to make doilies, table runners, collars and embellishments for clothing, and edging on things like linen and handkerchiefs. These days, it’s starting to make a comeback!
There is a number of colours available, including black, white, cream, blue, green, purple and pink. If you purchase the earrings, please indicate at checkout what colour you would like. See photos for examples.
The earring attachments are made of antique bronze colluded metal alloy and are nickel free. The lace piece measures approximately 30x40mm - due the handmade nature of the lace, and different brands of cotton, some pieces may be slightly larger or smaller than this.
The lace is also stiffened with a fabric stiffener so it keeps its shape while the earrings are worn. Jewellery made of lace is very light, and won’t drag your earlobes down like some large dangly earrings can do.

Care information:
Can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth and left flat to dry. Try not to get them wet, but if you get caught in the rain don’t panic! If you leave them on a flat clean surface, they should dry out and maintain their shape. Just do not immerse them completely in water.
Delivery information:
The earrings are delivered to you in a plastic sleeve and a special card pocket to keep them flat and safe from the elements. They are sent in standard post – if you are not happy with this and would prefer them to be couriered so they can be tracked, please contact me for pricing.
The earrings are made to order, so please allow up to five working days for them to be completed before being posted. I will contact you to let you know once they have been put into the mail.
