Ecrou Poupee

Mimi thought these dolls looked like acorn dolls and Rufus thought they looked very French, hence the name. Actually the French translation for acorn was not appealing so we went with nut instead.

These have been made for lots of love, hugs and adventures.

Each is unique as we don't use any patterns. We start out making the head and work from there. Everything has been made by hand, even the knitted and crochet elements. The eyes are embroidered. All the clothes and hair have been sewn in place which makes them safe for little ones.

This Poupee's skin is cotton knit fabric, the cute hat is woollen fabric and the jumper and scarf are wool. The leggings are merino. The hair has been made with merino which has been made using the wefting technique and can be combed.

This doll is 33cm tall not including the ears on the hat.
