This painting was inspired by a small, wild rabbit who made residence in a particular spot in the Hamilton Gardens. The rabbit made itself known to my family on various occasions and was most happy to have its photograph taken.
In this painting I wanted to capture the un-captured... And for this exercise, no cages were necessary! The style is a broad stroke approach which helps to emphasise the abstract qualities of nature and adds the 'fleeting moment' and 'organic' feel to the subject.

Arches 300gsm watercolour (textured) - archival quality - 100% cotton, acid & lignin free
Artist-grade watercolour paint - Schmincke Horadam (excellent light-fast properties)
No mat-board frame included for this piece.
