Greenstone & Paua Shell Rosary - St Francis of Assisi Center

Handmade Catholic rosary in greenstone and paua shell beads, made in New Zealand - from my hands to yours.

Saint Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of animals and pets, conservationists and ecologists, zoos and zoo-keepers - and against a lonely death. He features in the center medal of this full-size nephrite jade (greenstone) Catholic rosary. St Francis is one of the most-loved saints of all time, and the colored center medal shows him in his sermon to the birds.

I've used 8mm round greenstone beads for the Hail Marys, each linked by hand with silver rosary wire which gives the rosary very nice drape through the hands. The Our Father beads are natural New Zealand paua shell hearts with the intense colors of the shell that is found only in cold New Zealand waters. The paua hearts are finished with little olive green Swarovski® crystals and then wire wrapped to give extra strength where needed.

This rosary will last for many years of prayer and is covered by my lifetime guarantee.

The crucifix is a traditional pierced filigree style with a slim profile while still being sturdy. It is made from nickle and lead free pewter, as is the center medal which has the words "pray for us" engraved on the back. The rosary can be worn as a rosary necklace.
