Walnut wood earrings with Art Nouveau knotwork design – lightweight, laser-cut wooden shapes

These earrings showcase fine walnut wood that has been cut into sinuous, flowing shapes in an Art Nouveau-inspired – or perhaps Celtic – knotwork design.

The walnut wood is undyed: a rich, natural brown. These intricate wooden designs have been cut with a laser, making the wood seem almost as if it has been woven. The wood is then lightly varnished, to help preserve and strengthen it.

These striking earrings measure 67mm from top to bottom. The wooden elements are 45mm from top to bottom, and 42mm wide. They are surprisingly lightweight, giving maximum visual impact for minimal weight. These remarkable earrings should be handled with care, as the thin strips of wood will not tolerate rough treatment.

The ear hooks are antiqued-bronze in colour, and are without nickel. The earrings come with little plastic stoppers that can be slid onto the hooks to prevent them from working their way out of the wearer's ears.
